Welcome to the Arena!

I had the pleasure of working on a massive project called Disney Sorcerer's Arena for over four years, from prototype to beta, global launch, and beyond. It was an honor to be part of such a talented team and work with Disney to make this happen. As a big Disney/Pixar fan, working every day with the characters, movies, and cartoons I’ve always loved has been a dream come true.

I designed thousands of icons, illustrations, UI assets, and UI/UX design (wireframes, prototypes, mockups, etc.). My contributions ranged from establishing and evolving the overall style to developing and implementing new features in Unity. Seeing millions of people interact and have fun with our work was excellent!

Here is a selection of some of my favorite items and screens that I worked on. Enjoy!

Some of my favorite screens for which I created the UI Mockups, assets and implemented them in Unity.

Early style explorations

Throughout the four-plus years of the game development process, there were several rounds of style explorations in which I contributed to defining the visual direction and implementation across the project. Here are some examples:

Character’s ability icons:

I helped define the ability icon style, designing a clean, easy-to-read system optimized for viewing on smaller screens. Here are a few of my favorite icons that I worked on:

These icons are located on the left side of the character details screen and in Battle.

Event Backgrounds

Created background Illustrations for several events. These are used in different game areas, like special offers in the store, pass holder, and event selection screens. These are usually clean, graphic, and minimalistic to make the character and items stand out.

Store Packs and Chests

Worked on several custom store assets for different events and features, like chests, pouches, currencies, and many others. Some of them were turned into 3D by our team, I also worked on the whole store UI screens and implementation.

Other Items

These are some of my favorite Gear items, Currencies, Talismans (profile pictures), Medals, and Event Trophies that I’ve created.

▲ Event trophies are the final reward in an event. These can be used as profile pictures as well.

Flat icons

These are used everywhere, from status icons to store tabs. I was honored to create a unique Mickey head shape that eventually was added to the game's logo. The Skull and the Crown became part of the main symbols as well.

Early Concepts: The Dungeon

I had the opportunity to make the initial background Illustration & buttons of the dungeon feature for Club Dungeon. This helped set the mood and start playing with parallax and adding different levels of caves below. Later this was turned into 3D by our team and transformed into several caves.

Other Game elements

Some of my favorite Buttons, Icons, and visual elements that are in different areas of the game.

I also worked on the latest UI visual update, evolving the overall UI style, creating mock-ups and icons, and implementing some screens and assets.

UX

These are a few wireframes I worked on. Titans Raid, for example, was a feature where I was part of the overall process of creating wireframes, prototypes, icons, final mockups, and implementation, collaborating with product managers, game designers, 3D Artists, and Engineers. Some other examples were also created in collaboration with the rest of the UI/UX team.
